The joint pain, swelling, and stiffness that come with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and other kinds of painful ailments caused by inflammation can be so tough that you are almost willing to do anything to ease the pains.

The good news is, there’s a way out of chronic pain experience caused by inflammation.

Turmeric essential oil is a strong anti-inflammatory agent due to the presence of curcumin ( a bioactive substance) which fights inflammation at a molecular level.

Curcumin blocks the molecule responsible for activating genes in cell nuclei that trigger inflammation.

It stops the molecule that goes into the nuclei of your cells and turns on genes related to inflammation. This molecule plays a major role in many chronic diseases that cause pain.

In fact, turmeric essential oil is so powerful that it matches the effectiveness of some anti-inflammatory drugs.

Without worrisome side effects, a point to note and be glad for.

High-quality therapeutic-grade turmeric essential oil contains over 60% alpha-curcumene, a sesquiterpene hydrocarbon.

This gives turmeric it’s incredible anti-inflammatory healing properties. This compound allows turmeric essential oil to remedy inflammation associated diseases as I’ve mentioned above.

Curcumin present in turmeric essential oil is a proven treatment for rheumatoid arthritis. I can say that curcumin is more potent and effective than an anti-inflammatory drug,  safe and showing no adverse or worrisome effects.

An experiment carried out reported that curcumin was equal to ibuprofen ( A pain relief drug)  for providing pain relief and improvement in the movement for patients suffering from knee osteoarthritis.

Essential oils are potent but,  when they aren’t used well,  they can irritate your skin and add to your swelling. Essential oils combined with a carrier oil is better before you apply them.

Although carrier oils absorb some of the essential oil’s effects, they don’t stop them from delivering their therapeutic properties. They only reduce your risk of irritation.
